1942 is the year Don Julio Gonzalez opened his distillery, "La Primavera" in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. This tequila is subjected to a double distillation in a small alembic that removes any impurity that could remain in the mixture and thus obtain a very soft texture. Later it is aged for 2 ½ years in white oak barrels that previously contained bourbon and which give it an unmistakable caramel and vanilla flavour.
